New Fulk's Run Station Is Cutting Emergency Response Times
The Fulk’s Run Emergency Response Station opened in October 2025, and it’s already drastically cut response times for the surrounding community. Previously, crews had to travel from Broadway to reach calls around Fulk’s Run, which meant 10 to 15 minutes before help could arrive. Now that a crew is stationed here, emergency assistance can reach residents faster.
A Long Partnership with Rockingham County
Fulk’s Run is the latest chapter in our long lasting relationship with Rockingham County. Over the past 6 to 7 years, we’ve partnered with the county on multiple emergency response facilities, including the recently completed Dayton Fire Station. Each project has taught us a little more about what first responders actually need from their space, as well as giving us the opportunity to support our community.
Built Around the People Who Use It
We built the station around how a crew actually lives and works. A few of the details that make a difference:
Living quarters, a kitchen, and a fitness area for the hours between calls
A 10-bedroom bunk area so crews can rest during long shifts
A gear storage room with continuous airflow and apparatus exhaust systems that keep carcinogens away from living spaces
Apparatus bays built with durable Butler steel to house the trucks and equipment
An on-site gear extractor to clean equipment after every call

A Facility Built for the Community
Beyond improving response times, the Fulk’s Run Emergency Response Station provides a reliable space for first responders to work, train, and prepare for emergencies. The station represents a long-term investment in the community and the people who protect it.
